Week 46: The Amazing Benefits of Raw Cream

Raw cream from cows on grass is loaded with valuable nutrients that are easy to digest and also contains the Wulzen Factor, referred to as the “antistiffness” factor. When talking about this factor, Sally Fallon said, “It protects humans and animals from calcification of the joints, hardening of the arteries, cataracts, and calcification of the pineal gland.  Calves fed pasteurized milk or skim milk develop joint stiffness and do not thrive.” Amazingly when the calves are given raw butter fat again their symptoms are reversed!”

Dr. Price described a tradition that he witnessed in each Swiss valley or village where athletes would feast on dairy products to help them to prepare for their competitions. “The athletes were provided with large bowls of cream as constituting one of the most popular and healthful beverages, and special cheese was always available.

Later in his book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration he mentions that he found that practically all skulls that were “exhumed” in the Rhone Valley and throughout Switzerland, where graves existed for more than a hundred years were found with relatively perfect teeth (before dental care was available). The people that had been recently buried had been “riddled with carries or lost through this disease.” The traditional practices of eating had been replaced with modern food like we see in our culture today. Our teeth say a lot about the health of the rest of our body, and I will be sharing another story I heard recently from a new friend from our church about how she healed her son’s cavity when was two.

I value raw and fermented dairy and the benefits of cream so much that I never want to be without my own milk cow. My husband and I don’t plan to “retire” and I pray that we are milking cows and growing our own food until the day we die. Do you love cream as much as we do? We love to hear from you!

As with anything there are always risks with raw dairy and cream. My personal belief is that the benefits outweigh the risks, but some experts believe that it is unsafe to consume raw dairy. Dr. Axe states that, “The risk of this happening is very, very low. In fact, according to medical researcher Dr. Ted Beals, M.D., you are 35,000 times more likely to get sick from other foods than you are from raw milk. (1)

The CDC reports that there are an estimated 48 million foodborne illnesses diagnosed each year. Of these 48 million illnesses, only about 42 (about 0.0005 percent!) each year are due to consumption of fresh, unprocessed (raw) milk. (2)

Dr. Chris Kesser did a thorough investigation to get the true impact of raw milk illness and death, as the CDC makes it sound inevitable, and found that your chances of becoming hospitalized from a bacterial illness caused by raw milk is three times less than your chance of dying in a plane crash. In fact, he discovered that you have a better chance of death by infection from raw oysters than you do of ever getting sick at all from raw milk! As you can see, most accusations and concerns over raw milk have been overstated, and therefore its heath benefits remain underrated.”

As always I encourage you to pray and do your own research to see if this might be a good option for you.

Our family has learned to slow down, make careful observations of what heals/damages, get rid of the distractions, take a little more time preparing our food, and most importantly to seek the Lord’s wisdom. It’s a daily struggle and it never goes perfectly, but we just keep trying to do the best we can. If you are working toward a more traditional, clean, whole foods diet, and would like to take small steps to get there, then you are at the right place. Week one was get your salt right, week 2 was get your sleep right, weeks 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 were get your fats right, we had several weeks about seasonings and herbs, some important discussion about natural sweeteners, talked about Forgiveness, hopefully we got our eggs right, learned about the benefits of pastured, clean meats, considered getting mercury removed, we got the toxins out of our mouth, skin, and hair, made some changes in our cleaning routines, and this week we are talking about raw milk. Join us next Tuesday for Get Your . . . Right.
